When did Ford stop making the Ranger?
Ford stopped making the Ranger in December 2011 Ranger. The Ford Ranger basically looked almost the same as it did from the 2001 Ranger. It also has maintained the same engine and feature qualities from 2001 to 2011. The Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon also stopped making their mid-size pickups for a approximately a year and a half. It returned with a whole new look and was named Motor Trend Truck of the year.
Although the Ford stopped manufacturing the Ranger, it has a huge following and still one of the most sought after pre-owned vehicles.
Fast forward to 2016 the Ford Ranger has returned with an all new design, engine and specifications. The 2017 Ford Ranger truck will is powered by two powerful engines. The first engine option is 2.0 liter engine, and generates 240 horsepower and 270 lb feet of torque.
The fuel economy of this truck is 21 mpg in city drive and 30 mpg on highways. The second engine is 2.3 liter turbocharged Eco-Boost engine which can produce up to 285 horsepower and 305 lb feet of torque.
